Dining Plan Options
UVM Dining is more than great food. It is a community experience centered on culinary expertise, fresh ingredients, healthy options, and a shared sense of environmental and social responsibility. Our team is committed to creating the best possible dining experience for you! Join us for delicious foods in an inviting atmosphere while enjoying the convenience of dining on-campus.
To purchase a meal plan, visit the “Shop." Meal plans are accessed through your UVM CATcard. All plan holders must present their CATCard to the cashier at the time of purchase to use their plan. Meal Plans are subject to change and interpretation, as recommended by the University Administration. Learn more about our Dining Plan Options below.
2025/26 Meal Plans for On-Campus Students
For the 2025/26 Academic Year, we are offering four flexible dining plans tailored to meet students' needs:
All Access Plan
- Features: Unlimited Meal Swipes into dining halls, 150 Retail Points, and 3 Guest Meals.
- Cost: $2,446 per semester.
- Details: Ideal for students who want seamless access to meals throughout the semester. This plan ensures meals are available from the first to the last day of the semester.
All Access Plus Plan
- Features: Unlimited Meal Swipes into dining halls, 300 Retail Points, and 5 Guest Meals.
- Cost: $2,573 per semester.
- Details: Includes all the benefits of the All Access Plan with additional Retail Points for greater flexibility.
Flex Plan
- Features: 160 Meal Swipes, 900 Retail Points, and 3 Guest Meals.
- Cost: $2,733 per semester.
- Details: A balanced option for students who want variety. The Flex Plan averages approximately 60 Retail Points and 10 Meal Swipes per week. It is not designed to cover all meals during the semester, so students must budget their Meal Swipes and Retail Points accordingly.
Retail Points Plan
- Features: 50 Meal Swipes, 1,750 Retail Points, and 3 Guest Meals.
- Cost: $2,446 per semester.
- Details: Perfect for students seeking maximum flexibility and convenience. This plan averages approximately 97 Retail Points and 2 Meal Swipes per week. Like the Flex Plan, it requires students to manage their Meal Swipes and Retail Points effectively.
Important Notes
- Plan Adjustments: Meal plans are subject to change based on recommendations from University Administration.
- On-Campus Additions: Students can add Retail Points to their meal plan at any time. Added Retail Points become available once the meal plan’s initial points are used and only these new points carry over semester-to-semester as long as the student remains enrolled at UVM.
- On-Campus Meal Plan Requirement: All students living on-campus are required to have a meal plan for the duration of their housing contract. Students with dietary concerns can work directly with our Registered Dietitian for personalized menu planning.

2025/26 Meal Plans for Off-Campus (Undergraduate Commuter, Graduate, and Medical) Students
Off Campus Meal Plans will be available for purchase starting 8/4/24.
Off-campus students can save money on all on-campus meals by purchasing Retail Points and/or Block Meals! Choose a plan that fits your taste, schedule, and budget:
Retail Point Plan
Features:
- Functions as a declining balance account, with each point valued at $1. Points can be used at any on-campus dining locations.
- Cost: Retail Points can be purchased in increments of 50, 100, 150, 200, or 250.
- Details: Ideal for off-campus students who want flexible, convenient access to all UVM dining locations.
Benefits
- 10% savings at Campus Perk, Given Bistro, Green Roof Deli, Redstone Market, The Marketplace, University Marche, UVM Dairy Bar, Waterman Market, and Waterman Manor—automatically applied at checkout
- Rolling balance – Your retail points stay with you as long as you're enrolled at UVM. Upon leaving UVM, the unused retail points are non-transferable and non-refundable.
- Ultimate convenience – Link your points to your free Everyday account to check hours, browse menus, and order ahead at select locations.
Block Plan
- Features: Provides a set number of Meal Swipes which can be used for entry into any of our four dining halls. Block Meals cannot be used for the Meal Exchange program. Unused Block Meals roll over from fall to spring semester but expire at the end of the academic year. Block Meals are non-transferable and non-refundable.
- Cost: Blocks can be purchased in increments of 30, 50, 75, 100, 125, or 150.
- Details: A great option for students who want a set number of dining hall entries. Not to be used in retail and not valid for Meal Exchange.

We understand that transitioning to a new school can be challenging, so we’ve created this guide to help make your move to UVM—and your dining experience—as smooth as possible
Living On-Campus or Off-Campus?
Not sure yet? No problem. Many transfer students are still deciding. Explore our resources for both on-campus and off-campus students to find what works best for you. Here’s what’s most important: All students residing on-campus are required to choose one of our four on-campus meal plans. You’ll select and sign up for your meal plan as part of the Housing and Meal Plan Contract.

Student Summer Dining Plan
Students, eating on-campus this summer? Enroll in one of our Summer Dining Plans to enjoy delicious meals and begin saving today! Experience the convenience, your next meal is just a swipe away.
Features:

- Cost: Summer Retail Points can be purchased in increments of 50 or 100.

- Ultimate convenience – Link your points to your free Everyday account to check hours, browse menus, and order ahead at select locations.
Summer Dining Plans are non-refundable and expire August 22, 2025.
If you're enrolled at UVM for the Fall Semester, any unused points will carry over.
Summer-only students must use their points by the expiration date.
Faculty and Staff

With flexible meal plan options designed to suit your busy schedule, you can savor a variety of fresh, flavorful dishes without the hassle of packing lunch or venturing off-campus. Points can be used at all on-campus dining locations, including four Dining Halls ("all-you-care-to-eat") and over a dozen retail options. Enjoy a 10% discount at these locations: Campus Perk, Given Bistro, Green Roof Deli, Redstone Market, The Marketplace, University Marche, UVM Dairy Bar, Waterman Market, and Waterman Manor. Unused Retail Points roll over semester-to-semester as long as you remain employed at UVM. Upon leaving UVM, the unused retail points are non-transferable and non-refundable.
- Cost: Retail Points can be purchased in increments of 50, 100, 150, 200 or 250.
- Details: Convenient and flexible dining option for those who want variety and savings. Perfect for accessing meals without leaving campus, saving time and parking hassles.

Meal Plan Switch Periods
If you find the plan you selected on your Housing and Meal Contract is not meeting your needs, then you can switch your meal plan during the meal plan switch period (dates shown below) by logging into the housing portal and completing the Meal Plan Switch Form.
Meal Plan Switch Period:
- Fall 2024: before 9/9/2024 at 4:00 p.m.
- Spring 2025: before 1/27/2025 at 4:00 p.m.
It may take up to 10-business days to process a meal plan switch, which are completed in the order they are received. Once your order is submitted, please begin to use your plan as if it were your new one. Unless you indicate a change to us, the Resident Meal Plan you are on at the end of the fall semester will automatically renew for the spring semester and billed accordingly.
